PIT STACKS
Our Pit Stacks are 12 - 16 Pieces of assorted hardwoods. Each Pit Stack is over 26 lbs. and 2.5 cubic feet. We include a Scotch Pine starter and small hardwood pieces to get the fire burning hot!
We are in West Islip and will deliver hassle free.

BAG O’ CHUNKS
Over 10 lbs of our premium seasoned wood in odd shapes and smaller cuts. Comes in a recycled paper bag and that is it. Great for fire pits and stoves to create hot coals.

BEAR TORCH
The JACK BEAR Torch is a Swedish style torch which is a single log fire that is perfect for any outside activity. Place the torch on a fireproof surface and light the wick to the included fire starter.

T.N.T (bonfire starter; outside only)
JACK BEAR T.N.T is a small bundle of kindling stuffed with Pine Pitch, wood shavings and Scotch Pine sticks wrapped with jute twine. It has a wick that is soaked Pine Pitch resin. Light the wick, stand on its end and let it burn. It takes a minute to get burning but it will stand up to windy conditions. Burns for about 18 minutes. Plenty of time to get bigger piece of wood to pile on.

Why JACK BEAR Firewood?
We are honest. I know, you hear it all the time but we want to break away from all the “business speak” and actually be honest.
Our firewood is limited, we don’t have a processing facility. We have a couple of backyards and that’s it. We eventually want a yard that customers can come to hang out enjoy a fire with us, split some wood and display other local small business products.
We have seasoned wood NOT kiln-dried. Kiln-dried uses more energy and cost more. To see what is better for your needs, give it a search online. Our take is our wood is truly seasoned for over a year, it lights quick and we didn’t consume energy to run a kiln in order to artificially dry the wood that you will be using to just set on fire. Kiln wood may light quicker (depending on many factors) but go on youtube and watch some real wood guys like Buckin Billy Ray Smith, Firewood at the Furnace and In The Wood Yard. I have no affiliation with any of these people. They will give you an idea of what we are about though.
We sell in bundles which we refer to as Pit Stacks. We may not be the supplier that can deliver enough wood to heat your house for an entire winter (which would be 3 - 4 cords if that is your only source of heat). We are the supplier that will give you an opportunity to use your fireplace, Solo Stove or outdoor fire pit to enjoy some time with friends and family.
Our Pit Stacks come with a natural fire starter from scotch pine. You may see this in stores as fatwood. A small piece of this stuff goes a long way. We also include small pieces of assorted hardwoods to get the fire going before layering on the logs.
Can you get your fire going with just one match? I try every time I light a fire. I don’t always succeed but feels good when I do.
